Local food co-ops

Canada is home to a vibrant "local food" movement. For reasons ranging from freshness and taste to environmental sustainability and the desire to support local farmers, a growing number of consumers are buying and eating locally-produced products. There are now more than 200 co-operatives across Canada involved in the production, marketing, retail, processing and distribution of local food. Here are some of them.
