One of CCA's primary roles is to provide a "common table" for co-operatives and credit unions across Canada to meet and discuss issues of interest to the co-op sector. CCA's National Congress, held annually in June in a different Canadian city, is one of the year's highlights, offering speakers, panels, workshops and co-op tours, as well as more informal opportunities for co-operators to get together. CCA also holds its Annual General Meeting in conjunction with the Congress.
Every two years, CCA's Institute of Co-operative Leadership contributes to leadership development across organizations and sectors within a co-operative and credit union context.
CCA plays a leading role in the planning and promotion for Co-op Week, a major national event which takes place in October of every year.
CCA also hosts webinars on various issues of relevance to the co-operative and credit union community.
