Co-op Development InfoService

Welcome to our new Co-op Development InfoService

Whether you are already a member of a co-operative, thinking of starting a co-op or just considering a co-op as one of several options for organizing your business or service, help is just a mouse click or a phone call away.

This page is the portal for the Co-op Development InfoService, which was created in March, 2010 by the Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA) and the Conseil canadien de la coopération et de la mutualité (CCCM), with funding from the federal government through the Co-operative Development Initiative (CDI).

Our goal is to improve access to co-op development information for anyone who wants to start a new co-op or expand or enhance an existing one.

Click on the left-hand menu links to learn more about virtually every aspect of co-op development, from the basics of starting a co-op and how to incorporate your co-op to where you can go for co-op advisory services and funding.   You'll find links to a variety of guides and resources, as well as to provincial/territorial co-op associations and government departments who can help you regardless of where you live in Canada.
