Leadership in Co-operative Governance Award
The Leadership in Co-operative Governance Award recognizes governance innovation and excellence in co-operatives and credit unions across Canada. The awards seek to showcase the movement's strengths in the area of governance and provide the opportunity for co-op and credit union boards to learn from each other. The Awards criteria are based on three factors: overall governance excellence; effective co-operative governance practices; and innovation in governance.

Brown Governance Co-operative Award for Boardroom Culture
Starting with the 2010 Awards, CCA and Brown Governance Inc. have launched a second award, the Brown Governance Co-operative Award for Boardroom Culture. Boardroom culture is the set of unwritten, often even unspoken norms underlying governance power structures. Individual personalities, personal relationships, decision-making processes, and the use of benchmarks and performance measurements are all factors of boardroom culture. This award recognizes that a healthy boardroom culture is critical to governance success.
